Cute quaint place. Looks like a husband and wife operation. Indoor and outdoor seating. The French onion soup is superb. This is my second visit here and that was a must. Last time I Ordered the Croque Monsieur. It was ok. It could have been a bit more well done. It didn't compare to the Croque I had at Papiolite in Savannah GA. (See my earlier reviews) Today I had the Prosiutto, Fresh Moz, & Pesto on a fresh baked baguette. Sandwich was superb. Bread to perfection. Fresh ingredients. Side salad was perfect amount with excellent dressing to boot. For a French place the portions were quite healthy. A very nice change of pace for anyone looking for something different or fresh.

It has been a number of years since I have been to this quaint and charming French bistro. I have been remiss on just how lovely it truly is. Today's soup of the day:split pea soup. Creamy and thick consistency, and NOT salty which I don't care for in soups. I do remember their French onion soup, which if truth were known, I prefer; however, opted for the split pea to have a comparison. It was fair; not bland, NOT salty as previously mentioned. I had the duck pate with the little French pickles and a spicy mustard (Grey Poupon)? On a delicious French baguette that was crunchy in texture in EVERY bite! I ordered the HALF of sandwich that comes with your choice of cup of soup, along with an ample portion of a side salad with cucumber, carrot and field greens with the perfect amount of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Everything is prepared fresh to order with minimal waiting time. Family owned and operated in the same shopping center; although, moved after ten years to their current location for the last four. The ambiance inside is sweet and comfortable, as well as super clean. Beautiful artwork adorns this small bistro of Monet paintings, of course, French frilly curtains and tables outside (6) with umbrellas for those wishing to dine outside. It's been MUCH too long away from this little gem nestled between a skin clinic/Dr.'s office and a wonderful sushi restaurant as well! Put them on your list to experience! You won't be disappointed!

As you would probably expect, the Monet Cafè markets itself as a French sidewalk cafe located in a Publix strip mall. There are Monet prints everywhere on the walls inside (Okay it's Monet, we get it) with French music playing overhead. I get that they are trying to be an authentic French bistro cafe but it kind of comes across as being a little pretentious but I'm sure their clientele of Boca retirees doesn't mind. We got the caesar salad with Nova smoked salmon and anchovies which were very fresh and better than anything I could get back home in Colorado but they only put 3 anchovies on the salad. I like anchovies so I wouldn't have minded a few more. It was good and so was the service. The also carry Orangina soda if that makes it seem a bit more "Frenchie."

This quiet, quaint cafe is the perfect place to meet friends for lunch. It is located in a courtyard slightly away from the parking area in a mall. You can eat indoors or out and you think you are (almost) in a private garden. The indoor dining room is small and charming. The setting is only topped by the excellent food. We have returned several times and have had the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes. I recommend the soups, salads and sandwiches. Everything is as fresh as the minute. Monet Cafe is a place apart from what you would expect in Boca. It is a real treat!

Lovely French bistro. Yummy French onion soup; not salty at all. Fresh baguettes made on premises for sandwiches. Chicken salad is not overwhelmed with mayo. Nice side salad with fresh greens. Lovely inside since they moved to other side of shopping center. Very cozy with a nice outdoor sitting area. Dessert is a must. We shared an enormous piece of apple torte. It was warmed up with a pretty presentation. Nice cappuccino too. Try this lovely little hidden gem in Boca.

Cute little French Cafe in a random Strip Mall. Yes, there are a lot of Monet prints on the walls. Took me about halfway through lunch to figure that one out. Go me. It's definitely a "Ladies Lunching" kind of place, open for brunch and lunch only, with a good selection of salads, sandwiches and quiches. Seems a good fit for the Boca Ladies that frequent these parts. You know the ones... They're discussing "Keeping up with the Real Housewives that Dance with Teen Moms in the Jersey Shore" over a glass of Moscato and a Salad, their Louis Vuitton bags casually slung across the back of their chairs. Oh, crap. That was us. So, on that note, kudos to my hubby for enduring that particular lunch with the ladies. We couldn't have been more of a cliche if we'd tried. Three of the girls got the Chopped Salad, and raved about it. My poor, suffering man and I shared the Caesar Salad with (Nova) Smoked Salmon, and we added Anchovies. Seems like an odd combo, but let me tell you: It worked. It also fed both of us for a "Light Lunch" portion, because I'd also had a cup of their French Onion Soup. That soup was killer, man. Not too salty, melty cheese, enough onions (But not TOO many). Loved it. So, it's a cute little place for lunch with solid salad options and a killer onion soup. And for the record, I do NOT watch "Keeping up with the Real Housewives that Dance with Teen Moms in the Jersey Shore"

I had the gazpacho soup which was excellent. I also had the crepe daisy with asparagus. The crepe Cordon Bleu was presented well with crispy salad and was very tasty. Baked eggplant was very good. We will be back.

Since being a mother of 2, I find my review writing to be very different. My best friend and I were out with my 2'1/2 year old and 5 month old. We wanted some place nice for lunch. I pass by Monet Cafe every day and never thought to go in. Today, I figured...ok, a light lunch...why not try. So we grabbed the kids, put em in the stroller and took a walk to the restaurant. The owner was outside and stopped us to see the babies before we even asked for a table. It was super nice. We sat down and he was very accommodating. He told us that our order was big enough that I didn't need to order anything for my daughter. He brought out carrot garnish for her for a snack. He brought out bread and butter. His wife helped me out with a hot cup of water for my son's bottle. Just caring and friendly environment. Now, the food.....awesome. French onion soup was so delicious! Coffee was tasty...The salad trio was huge. I'm solid. We will definitely return. Great Place! Check it out!

Monet Cafe is a wonderful place for Lunch with a great French ambience. My Wife and I come here a few times during the month to relax and get away from the stresses of work during the day. During my last visit I had a Normandy crepe which was delicious. The crepe came with fresh ham, turkey brie cheese and apples to add a wonderful sweet fruity taste. The dish came with a very fresh salad and wonderful vinaigrette dressing. The french onion soup here is by far the best I have ever tasted. The soup came with a generous cover of broiled melted cheese that covers the top and sides of the cup. The broth flavor is perfectly balanced with pieces of toast and chopped caramelized onions. For dessert I had a crème brulee which came impressively presented with beautiful chocolate music garnish decorations. We highly recommend this place. Give it a try.. You will be amazed.

We have enjoyed the simple pleasure of unexpected stops for lunch in this intimate eatery. Simple fuss free tables w delightful service and priced mid range lunch. You can get anything for about 13 bucks. Get your kicks from amazing country pate with cornichons and mustard in a light baguette that is perfection. Yes all the baguettes will make you salivate and they are so interesting to pick. I had the cup soup w half baguette and salad- gazpacho was well seasoned. Crepes are absolutely delish. This is enjoyed by locals serves as a shopping break for ladies out for day. Elders are feted. Accessible for the public as no stairs or steps. This place gets busy and can be difficult to get a table. Patio seating on sidewalk in case u can't find table. This is a no wine or alcohol license and u won't miss that as the food is toothsome. Think simple eatery no white tablecloths or intricate place settings. No fuss or delicate air of the boca chosen....just expect delicious lunch food w out exception in simple setting next to publix.
